Today I've received two Basque rings from France. Both rings are the same, but one is silver (with hallmark) and one is silver plated. I'm not familiar with period souvenir rings and want to ask you for a help.
Please can you identify the period? Any info about hallmark on silver ring (I don't know where is top where is bottom, so I've uploaded photo from all sides). Any info about rings? Thank you

I don't know about that hallmark.., doesn't much look like a crab to me. I've seen this pattern billed as an "atlantikwall ring". Whether it is or not I have no idea but it looked like this

Regarding the hallmark..
Have you tried to clean it?.. Are those photos (four in a pattern) close ups from your ring?..
Considering the wear to the ring in general why would the hallmark be so hard to make out? I can see a vague resemblance to a crab. But it is rather rough for an area that is recessed, possibly the stamp was worn out?

This is Basque ring because this is Basque country coat of arms.

I'm also see vague resemblance to a crab, but strange that it was hardly damaged. hallmark is very tiny, I'm using digital microscope to take close up photo.

on the old forum here we had a few topics on these rings.
They are souvenir rings from Frances different provinces. They were available from the 30s up to the late 50s. Most after that got upgraded...
