Hello Guys,
here is another Dagger out of my Collection. Its a original NSKK Motorboat Standarte Chained Dagger.
I think it is one of the rarest 3rd Reich Daggers.
The Dagger is in a pretty good condition. The Blade was polished someday.
Have Fun with the Photos.
Stefan

Wonderful example. I have one, and they just look great when they retain most of their plating.

I like them, too.
Do you want to show your NSKK?

There is a very rare early version of the NSKK chained marine where they used actual copper plate on the fittings, which turned them looking like a Old Copper Penny. This one is on a Gebruder Heller maker. it must have cost more and the tarnished daggers didn't look as nice as the perma-plate copper/gold wash of the later version.

Love the old penny look on that early Gebr. Heller. Both of the daggers shown are very desirable.

On at least the later version, it appears the daggers came with their own gold pebbled D-ring belt loop, as in this complete veteran bring rig I was fortunate to acquire years ago.

Did anyone know, how many of them have been issued?

I think nobody knows. They are quite rare especially in good condition. We should not forget there was also an earlier, unchained version of which up to now nowbody knows how it looked like for sure.

Here is a "wearing..." pic. Sorry for the heavy copy protection but there are crooks even attending this forum, who do simply steal heavily paid photographs and show it elsewhere as their own, without credit. Recently one of my photographs (a part) was even shown in a russian forum....
Naturally I have much better photographs of this dagger, eg.a studio photograph, but cannot show them for obvious reasons.

Regards,

Stunning daggers and missing from my collection, the one made from real copper must be a one of a kind, never seen one before, simply exceptional.

Hi Pat, About two years ago Witty had one on his site, for what I considered a reasonable price. It was there for months until someone realized the rarity they were looking at (early copper plate NSKK marine, three link chain). I couldn't believe it- but there it was sitting, and it was 100% correct.

They were not solid copper, but a real copper plate thinly applied, so all the details are still crisp, but high spots wore off in use, as seen in my example.

Very Correct !!...as some of these chain suspensions have been altered on purpose removing one link to reduce carry swing. Very Nice Serge. Great to see you again at the Max Show. Regards Larry
