Ha, HA!!

What a great clear photo. But can't see a ring. Probably one there and the officer is admiring it,,or awarding it [doc in his hand]. [?].

Quick question...did the Germans in ww2 wear wedding bands on right or left? Also, wonder what kind of ring it is if it is an award ring...certainly not an Ss honor ring (these guys are Luftwaffe yes?)

hi mike
question you asked if the germans wore wedding rings i would say yes some german soldiers had several rings on thier fingers along with wedding ring most are usually worn by the wives of the soldiers . i have what i believe to be called a nazi wedding band that was made after 1933 its a very detailed thin silber ring with a small swazsticka and sourounded by oak leafs i have one such ring in my collection just thinking if gaspare has a photo of this scarce to find wedding band please ask him if he has a picture you have my full permission to show it here so outher members can view it thanks for the great question best andy militarynut

Perhaps a scene in a "long-distance-war-wedding" (bride and groom were on different places; he mostly at the front, she at home) which would also explain the doc the right officer is holding.
