I spoke with Houston Coates at the MAX show earlier this month and I asked his interest in continuing as a Moderator on GDC.

He said that with his increased involvement with OVMS - He is the Chairman of the Board - due to the the purchase of the MAX show, he was finding little time for GDC. He is therefore yielding his position as Mod of the Edged Weapons Accoutrements Forum and the Hunting. Shooting, and Forestry Forum.

Houston's contributions to GDC over the years have been significant. His advice and guidance have advanced our hobby. His collector guide to Hunting, Forestry and Shooting daggers is a great reference:

Please join me in thanking Houston for his many years of contributions.

Due to Houston and his guide I once got a first certain feeling and later more safety feelings concerning the tricky world of IIIR hunting, shooting and forest daggers and the proper accoutrement. During all the years of GD.C, as long as Houston did contribute, he was willing to give permanent advice to everyone here. I also remember that he was not only willing to give advice but also was willing to support collectors in an active way.
Although there are several experts in this part of the GD.C forum I personally will miss Houston and want to say "THANK YOU VERY MUCH" to him.
Regards,

Although Houston is not a Mod, I am hoping that he will stop by and offer his advice from time to time.
