This police bayo is marked with L sch 11 what does it stand for ? what is the approx . value of one of this marked police bayonets? double TM alcoso complete (only the knot is missing) in good condition.

Joe,
Regarding value, it'll come down to the condition of the pommel & especially the blade. Looks like it has a little rust & darkening, how's the rest of it?

it's not mint, but seems pretty ok . I don't have a lot of pics of the bayo, it was offered to me together with a damast LW dagger,which got more of my attention. (but the damast dagger has most likely a post war etched blade .

Can anyone decypher the maker on the frog ? is this a commen maker ? I guess Celle is the town ; but what is the name Assellmann ?

The name on the frog is the name of the leather works in Celle, of which an interesting mention is made on their home site:" During Kristallnacht, the anti-Jewish pogrom in Nazi Germany on 9/10 November 1938, the synagogue in Celle was only saved from complete destruction because there would have been a risk to the adjacent leather factory and other parts of the historic Altstadt."
There were thousands of makers of frogs etc. in Germany at the time, so rare is a relative term.
