Hello gentlemen, I'm wondering about price on this 44asw combat bayonet...its numbered 5157 y. It looks untouched. Nice frog, scabbard, undented and matched 5157y. Came from a vets family with a lot of US items about a week ago... Thanks for your opinions, God bless Mike

Looks like a nice piece, the blade should be probably lightly oiled. br.Andy

Still have this killer matching 44asw in the y series... It's completely untouched- 100% mint- how should I best preserve it? As of now it's in a closed and locked cabinet in my unheated (or cooled) integral garage- what oil should I use? Still a best bet recommendation? I don't want it to rust but I don't want to mess with that great late war rough grind all over- thanks guys Mike
