Wondering if anybody else has heard of other cased daggers, SA,SS, Luft, nskk,hj,navy, including any High Leaders cases? This would be very informative to us?

I know that HJ leader daggers came in a leather case and I have seen a picture of an SA Feldherrnhalle in a case being presented.

What color was the case and was there a extra compartment for hangers?

I have seen one army case that might have been authentic. The construction and age looked authentic, but it was the case only, no dagger. I don't recall what the interior looked like. I would think if it was used as a presentation accoutrement, the dagger must have been special. Perhaps a presentation piece with personalized etched or Damascus blade, ivory grip, etc.?

Great care is needed in this area to avoid frauds.
I know of the FHH presentations to Lutze and Russo; the Naval Honour dagger casings; the HJ Leader casings; and the presentation RAD Leader casings. I have personally not seen an original case for the SA/SS Honour dagger. One off presentation casings do exist, e.g., the Sepp Dietrich LAH presentation sword casing. .
Here is an early 20th century knife box that I fitted out to accept an SA honour dagger. So, great care is needed to determine originality.

Most WWII German swords and daggers were packaged in a paper bag or simply wrapped in Kraft paper. Some had cloth bags that came from the factory.

Some East German daggers came in a presentation case while most were simply supplied in a cardboard box. DDR General Officer daggers came in a presentation case but one must be careful of these as they have been reproduced.

Here is a cased DDR General Officer dagger and a DDR bayonet in its original packaging.

I agree with Orpo's assessment.

Here is a box that is suppose to be for a SS or SA presentation dagger. Beautifully done. Silk interior showing wear. a small notch in one end to fit the daggers lower tip. Black leather with gold trim. Actually about 1/8 inch shorter than most Early SA's.

Under no circumstances would I ever hold this up to be original.

But, it is the best I have seen.

I doubt that is an original case, but nice daggers deserve to be displayed well.
Here's a period knife box I fitted out to house an SA Honour.

Hi Andy; it had a silver plate serving spoon when I found it. I stripped out the inner and shaped a new former from balsa to fit the dagger and covered with the retained velvet cloth, head liner silk is as found. As you say the period knife boxes can't be beat, worth the effort to hunt them down.
