That SMF mark is not a correct one for SA's + its position on the blade is also not right.

Herman

Dave, Look at the lines on the Kings cape. They don't connect to the outline on period original full Rohm's (TTBOMK).

'They' are working hard in the east bloc.
Others may think different, it's JMO.

I see what you mean Wags as they also aren't connecting on the other part in front of SMF !

Though that mark if fake is very nice and crisp.

Could it be that the maker mark on that Rohm dagger was laser etched on the blade. It looks way different than the other - original - daggers.

The differences are NOT that dramatic at all , To me they are very slight................and will fool many out there !!

Hi Dave,

The connecting lines, the king's chin, the "SMF" lettering, the sword in the hand of the king,... all differ a lot from the original mark.

Best regards,

Herman

Just so everyone will have a better understanding of things. Could the variations in marks be similar to the Eickgorn squril tails?

The mark on the Rohm IMHO is incorrect.
If I remember correctly the correct mark on Rohm's is located closer to the crossguard. I'll see if I can find one in my Archive.
Serge, I've never seen a stamped SMF MM on a Army style blade.

Here is a SA SMF ex Rohm, Paul: MM is much closer to the guards indeed!

Best regards,

Herman
