Claus, This dagger raises questions.. The "AWS" marked blade being Alcoso's last maker mark is usually seen with the final type fittings, the "High lift" guard and single rear screw scabbard. This dagger has a generic type scabbard, not the Alcoso produced type I speak of, and the guard (hard to see in these blurred pics) is not the High Lift. Better pictures are needed but so far I am not getting positive feelings about this daggers original state. Kevin.

Woops.. Sorry Claus, I posted before you could finish! smile The second Heer is a very interesting piece.. all Robert Klaas with second style fittings.. does the scabbard bands have asterisks "*" on the sides of them to cover the casting seam?? Look closely under the cross guard swastika for the Klaas maker mark, it is small!

Last example is a correct looking Generic fitted Luft 2nd.. I see no problems so far. Kevin.

Thanks for reply Kevin. I can see that the Pictures are not that good.(strange??) I think It happened when I was resizeing them, to fit. By the way, The scabbard is not "running" as it should with the blade. Is it possible to find correct scabbard nowadays??
