Hi, I am considering this dagger but I am asking the expertise of the forum's senior members!

The blade is fine, I have seen other 121/34 on the wesites of extremely well known (and serious!) dealers and the motto matches one of the different versions I found, the RZM is perfect, guards seem fine too, as well as the grip and the SS button, what about the eagle?

Thanks Emil, it was fun to read the whole post!

I think I am definitely getting the dagger
What product do you use to clean the blade? did you clean the guards or you left the original patina?

Flavio,
I left it as it was found..
Really like them old salty with that patina..

There are better conditioned daggers out there to be found .I would look for a piece that has not been messed with, definitely not with a repainted scabbard.
But If you have a good price on your dagger and you are happy with it.. Go for it..its your choice.
But remember a untouched unmessed piece is more desirable..

Thanks Emil,
This absolutely makes sense, in the meean time I just found an original Herder in decent shape and NO repainted scabbard, I'll get it next week so I can calm the urge and save bigger money for a more important piece when it will show up
