Hello there, Im new in this forum and collect in Denmark.

But I hope that You can help me, with this one??

I have picked up this Army Dagger (Heer Dagger)from Carl Eickhorn, with a inscription on the blade.
I have seen a question (i think it was from 2013?) in your forum on a Luftwaffe Dagger, with the same inscription: Gew.v.s. Kam.III.Z.5/162 Weihn. 41
Can You please tell me, if this inscription are common and have been seen on other type Daggers??
Looking forward to hear from You Gentlemen.

I cant comment on the inscription but the dagger fittings & scabbard are not what I would expect to see a Eickhorn Heer fitted with.

Such "simple" inscriptions are nearly impossible to judge. There are no special signs which can be connected to any period. Perhaps an in hand inspection with a magnifying glass could shed a little light in the case.
But when WW2-Collector states that several parts of the dagger "are not what I would expect to see a Eickhorn Heer fitted with" and when you have seen the exact(?) inscription also on a Luftwaffe dagger it is much enough to see the incription at least as highly suspect.

Agree with Tom, this blade does not belong with these fittings or scabbard. Kevin.
