First new ring i got in hands this year looks for me as a kind of suvenir from the city of munich. Ring itself is da ie struck/pressed blank, has a nice seam and a fine "830" content mark. Soldered on the plate is a very interesting an small second plate (9x13 mm)that shows the coat of arms (1936-1945) of the city of munich. Ist made in enamel, but looks drawn by hand. Very interesting technic - maybe someone here knows more about  In real the swas on this enamel plate is as small you nearly can`t see it only with your eyes. All opinions are welcome.

yes hard to date. I wouldn't doubt if it was part of a series of German rings depicting the big German cities.
Is there a glaze on the front? [clear, shiny].... IF there is ,,is the design over it? or underneath the glaze? [sometimes its hard to tell]...

Yes, the drawing is covered with a rather thick Kind of clear enamel.

Ok friends. Thanks so far. For me a sure old ring and i am rather sure this soldered on porcelain / enamel plate is from the period too. Put together to which time? Hm - i think impossible to say like nearly every handwork. In this case i agree with you E. Butfor me this is secundary on this ring. Primary i like this handwork of this very, very little plate. This is for me a real piece of artwork. Hard to get it in pics, but i tried to make a better pic with a Scala so you can maybay imagine how small this plate is in real:

Interesting, Odal now that you added the measure of scale, it's actually pretty impressive handiwork detail. I'm not saying it's Renaissance masterpieces redone on a grain of rice, but I know I sure couldn't do it, ask Gaspare he's seen my handwriting!
