Does anyone know if Goering ever had a gold ring that had his seal of office which he used for a wax seal--or is this just a fantasy ring?

Hi! I think yes, Göring had a signet ring with the coat of arms of his family. Somewhere in an other forum i have seen a nice thread about with some pics too, but can`t remember where

That's correct odal. After much research on this, I'm beginning to think that this ring never really existed, and was a fantasy ring post WWII.
I can't find any qualified research that points to the fact that this ring was ever owned by Goering.

there are probably 50 rings out there that want to be HGs. Unfortunately 99.9% of them are fake..
I can tell you one thing for 100% sure. Zeitner never had a cast in mark! The one ring in that topic no matter what the provenance is a fake. The first ring I really can't see the hallmark but the front resembles the one made many years ago. The dealer used to sell wax impressions of it!
