Is there a "K" stamp on the edge of the lower crossguard?
I think this is a good dagger however it's pretty salty. The leather is very dark compared to other DLV NSFK daggers (blue) but that's most likely due to aging and storage location (humid environment).
It has the eagle with swastika on the scabbard plus a Waffenamt marking which consists of a sideways letter "H" having the stamping "B 84".
I think $600 is about the correct price for this piece.
Gruss,
PF

School markings add interest and value but it appears that there is no leather on the scabbard and grip?? Kevin.
It's ALL in the DETAILS!!.......

School marks are non matching. "Sch.429" crossguard, "Sch. 178" scabbard throat. Interesting, if a period mis-match.

Maybe the leather rotted away on the grip?
