Nice Bulgarian on eban complete with hangers. Looks good to me but I don't know about the provenance "from the grandson of Bulgarian general Stefan Boyadjiev". Good nick apart from the "railway carriage door" ding. Item number: 220517300708
If anyone has any of those hangers for sale I would be interested.

Here is a link.
Looks like a nice complete dagger. However, I would need to see some real proof of who this dagger belongs to.
Did the seller offer any proof of the provinance?

Am I correct in thinking that the first model has the monogram of King Simeon on it and is this the only diference? Pesho, do you know the dates when both models were produced?
I have a second model with King Boris, would love a first model but I expect big $$$ would be required.

Hi Simon, With Degree Nr 22 /08 November 1936 all army officers commenced to wear daggers, but only officers. The generals wear sword or rapier. As far as I know Stefan Boyadjiev became a general after 1940 so my supposition is that if in 1936 he was a high rank officer he would receive the first model dagger, like all other officers. The second model has been produced late ,unfortunately I dont know exactly the year. You can find more information http://daggers.infopop.cc/eve/...3006807/m/2230020545

Good looking dagger.Cogratulations. Simon if you take my advise is mush better to change this odd-lokking piece of string with german army hanger. As you can see the hangers are same ,exept the specific for all Bulgarian hangers clip.

That's good advice Pesho, as the hangers are similar I will have to look around for a set.
I have a set at present but they are attached to the correct dagger.
