Just recently learned a former gun show table partner and a past heavy contributor here on GDC was arrested for robing his landlords antique shop of an estimated 1/4 million dollars worth of collectables. Interesting he is ineligible for bail. Makes you wonder why people do the things they do.

He had the most extensive SS collection that I have ever seen. His postings maybe gone due to all the purges on GDC which BTW drove a lot of people away from this site. Interesting the link mention his landlord being stabbed and robbed. The truth of the matter the landlord sold a fake Bowie knife that was suppose to be vintage to the wrong person who took matters into his own hands when the landlord refuses to pay him back.

:(Very sorry to learn of this Dow...
Little story about Pablo,, - about 10 yrs ago or so I was traveling thru CA and needed a place to stay for a few nights. Pablo [very active with the forum] contacted me and invited / insisted that I come and stay with him.
I can tell you at the time he was a wonderful host. He was polite, fun loving and made me feel very welcome. Had a very busy tattoo shop a wife and 2 young children. I had a great time. I left making a new friend..
A few years after I learned he was going thru a very nasty divorce. Battling for the children and all that..I also heard he had to sell his large collection [many years in the making]..I spoke to him only a couple times after that and could tell something was wrong with him..I tried to help but contact was lost.
I know sometimes people have sickness in their minds. They are not themselves. No matter who you are stress and depression will make your mind sick and you act out in the wrong way. I'm not making excuses for him,,he did wrong and will now have to pay the price and go thru the system. Hopefully he will get help along the way. I for one will be praying for him and his family...

G:
Your sentiments and wishes are outstanding, but, unfortunately, the justice systems in both our countries are not set up to help people with problems, but to punish them for transgressions. People do not learn how to be model citizens, they learn how to intimidate and respond to violence within the system. Which is why so many of them continue this behaviour once they have served their time: it is a successful survival technique.
