Heres one I havent ran across before . Dagger looks good to me and comes from a good source . However , the late over the shoulder Eickhorn squirel trade mark is stamped upside down . TM reads correctly with the dagger tip pointed up . Opinions please guys . Sorry , these are the only pictures available .

Hi.

The pictures are not the best. But i could say, that the pommel is by WKC.

Best, Oleg.

1.Pommel-WKC

2.Crossguard-WKC

3.Hilt-WKC

4.Scabbard(what I can see)-Eickhorn.

5.Part dagger with post war blade.

In the late days of the war, EICKHORN widely did use WKC parts. So a WKC eagle and crossguard would not scare me on a late EICKHORN navy.
To my best experience it would also fit to this period of this dagger that the scabbard does NOT have the (later) built in scabbard bands. The built in scabbard bands were the latest variation observed by EICKHORN and these daggers commonly do have typical EICKHORN grip parts again but out of no brass metal.
Concerning the mark I have no special experience but I have heard that the late "over the shoulder" mark is the only mark which was used both ways (head to grip / head to blade tip) during the period. At least armies are accepted with both features.
Concerning the mark I would like to hear what other experts are thinking/knowing.
