I had posted this bayo in my Eickhorn thread, but was asked to start a separate one, so I will.
You can see this exact bayonet in Wayne's book on pages 78-82.

John - Here's the Eickhorn sabre, model #1695. It has the identical LAPO commemorative dedication to that on your Eickhorn presentation grade bayonet, model #1681. Interesting that both weapons were obtained through the same Munich based distributor. A presentation grade bayonet with a LAPO etch dedication, like your superb #1681, is now very high up on my wish list - There's always hope!

Barry: I hope you find your bayonet... I have been looking for this one for quite a while. Maybe, I will leave it to you in my will (or maybe I will not ) John

John & Barry,
Both are beautifully conditioned examples & extremely rare etch patterns. I love the LAPO connection as well, thanks for sharing gents!

John & Barry,
Two great LAPO commemoratives... and very rare as stated. Bavarian Landespolizei men seemed to like to commemorate their service in these units. Here is my Munich LAPO sword marked to a different unit than yours.

Forgot to mention that it also bears the Anton Schweyer distributor marks on the spine. Look closely at the 2nd pic.
