Once again, Ollar posts junk daggers. I think he is working with the fakers to try to slip things by us. Best not to elaborate too much on what's wrong.

No, I am not joking. Since you have been here you have posted one junk dagger after another without apparently learning anything about what constitutes a real dagger.

I believe that you are somehow involved with the people who are building these fakes.

Again, I caution members about helping this man.

Ollar, Forget daggers on Molotok auctions. All junk. If you want Russian dealer that sells authentic daggers, I can provide.

They come here to U.S. shows and buy real daggers. However, it does get very tiring when I see your name and know you will be asking members to look at more fake daggers.

Like looking for a car: You want to find nice car? Do not look in Junk Yard. No good cars in Junk Yard.

The difference between a Thief..and a "Cheap Thief".
Your replies are that of large bread crumbs...and following them has led to the obvious.....and that is...you are not here to learn anything. smirk

Just asking...has Ollar ripped anyone off here or has he been found to have offered or knowingly sold a GDC member a fake or reproduction dagger and refused to take it back or accept a return of offer a refund or exchange? Just curious....regards to all, Ryan

Vern and I discussed this more than once and felt he was vetting fakes while searching for hints on how to improve them. Don't need this.

fair enough as it is a private as opposed to a public forum. But if he has not been found to have sold a reproduction or fake dagger to a member nor has he been shown to have violated any code how does he come to be "banned" I have seen his threads/posts and see that he does not have any mastery of the English language, which I feel is half the problem here. I admit that he asks lots of questions but any member on here for a period of time has done the same and is that not what this educational forum is all about? I just feel that to arbitrarily ban or censor someone with no substantive proof at all other than his country of origin is fundamentally wrong. You may be right but you may be wrong...and when in doubt does your entire "system" not say extend the benefit of the doubt...?? Again, whether or not we "like" him is not the point. I just feel that this censorship without proof sends the wrong message to new collectors and does not serve the purpose of the forum...This hobby is ripe with fakes and always has been...this chap doing what he is if indeed nefarious has a zero impact. We have many examples of dealers and members who most likely knowingly sold fakes and reproductions and were "outted" yet they were not banned..sorry, just my opinion on the matter...I think in the end it does more harm than good cheers

I tend to agree, though of course admin may be privy to some info that we aren't ... But its tough to see a forum member get banned on suspicion. For sure if he plans on getting into SS he ought to do some homework from the ground up instead of asking "it good??" constantly, but it is also kind of tough to see what knowledge he could glean from this forum if his intentions were nefarious. From what I have seen he is annoying, naive but I have seen nothing to convince me that he is up to no good.
