Hello, I've recently saw this piece with etching. Dagger is surely original, but can you tell me someone something about the etching? I have never saw piece like this.

Hello! In Suhl in the year 1934 SA Dolche were only manufactured. Greetings

It is A FAKE etching and I mean it for 100%. Some greedy individual ruined a good Haenel, by etching some fantasy, wrong period dedication written with computer font (the name of the font is Schwaben Alt).
I'm really sick of all those con artists around the globe.

First ting to look for on etching,is that the edges is NOT strait.

Thanks guys, I thought that, because of year 39. You are right Adam. It is again an aukro dagger. Now is price for this shame piece about 950$.
Can you explain me, how they are doing this new etching?

I'm not super familiar with the technical details of etching process being used by fakers, but as far as I know it's the same known for hundreds of years traditional use of templates and acid. But, no matter what way they (fakers) use, their weak point is always "the design". They just lack of knowledge and original examples at hand (they are NO true collectors), so they steal ideas from reference books or "create" dedications themselves. Unless the faker is german guy, inscriptions are often full of spelling mistakes.
