anyone seen maker "Johannisberg Bayreuth" before? Have this maker also not in the McSARR rating list.

I have a Johann Leupold Bayreuth. i just ordered the mc sarrs list so i cant say whats in there. do you have a picture of the makers mark?

How rare is this logo? In regards of this city I would say they don't really produced the mass of daggers, that's for sure. Mostly supplied the local areas what I assume and possible found with Fr Gau markings as I assume as well.

looking close at these i notice mine has an extra set of flights on the arrow (5) and ends higher on the clover to the left.

Correct wes, in that Johann Leupold came first And made weapons for WW1(and probably also used the Leuco MM). Johanniswerk was founded in 1925 and obviously made SAs in mid 30s. Both these companies were later felt to join the Suddeutsche Messerfabrik (who also made early SAs) They are all on the McSARR. Mike
