Martin I think I have got it. I went through the Gau mark list that relate to known makers that I have as I can see it is 'Ns' I went through them and I think it is by Hermann Schneider . I don't want to get you excited and I know members do not like divulging Mikes list here but by my reckoning it is a Very Rare maker (if you know what I am saying). Best wishes, Ian www.simplydaggers.co.uk

Rare is relative when we talk about early SA's, when many makers were cottage entities.

I just checked a load of pictures I have and it is the same one with a dent in the same place.
The chap who owned it sold an SS dagger to one of our members and the buyer never got it, just a lot of excuses after he paid for it. Do you have an address for Simon the owner? or if you bought it from a dealer perhaps you could let us know who it was so we can try and track him down to get the money back on the SS.
Thanks

If you want to criticise someone first walk a mile in their shoes. Then, when they come after you, you'll be a mile ahead and they'll be barefoot.
