I got my first DLV knife today and have a few question for the experts. First the cross guard does not have the usual "K", but is stamped 183 on the bottom. Second the throat has the NSFK stamp and an H with an F & 36 inside. Also stamped TS1 and another number 205. What does the 205, TS1 and 183 signify?

I'm not an expert by any means but I do know the TS1 is a unit marking found on some early manufacture DLV & NSFK daggers. As of right now, I don't believe there's been a definite answer as to what the letters stands for, my guess is some type of technical school but that's just a guess.
The numbers are inventory numbers. Presumably the daggers & scabbards were matched up at one point but most that are found nowadays are mismatched. I have an NSFK made by SMF that is TS2 marked on both the crossguard & scabbard throat as well. My example's numbers are also mismatched bit it doesn't bother me so much because one rarely, if ever, finds a matched set.
Is your dagger an SMF?

I'm pretty sure I've only seen the TS makings on daggers marked by SMF.
