The scabbard is from a later period. I would not buy this dagger.

It might be an early scabbard with repainted shell. The fittings are polished, so they do look like plated ones, but screws look to me more "flat", hence there is a chance they are early nickel type, and so is the rest.
The dagger itself looks like an "ordinary" Hammesfahr, so no probs with it.

I dont think this is early nickel variety fittings but a nickel plate type.What is that little spot below the screw? on the upper fitting

Not magnetic? Nickel silver then. As I suspected: polished fittings, repainted scabbard shell. If the price is attractive, it would be OK to buy it for a starter.
