Easy Gents, Some of us just got back thorough bad weather completely worn out. Also saturated from Militaria overdose. Will post when we get a chance. If you want to see photos, Wittmann has his video up on his website. Show was more lightly attended than last year IMO due to weather. However it was very successful and a treat as always.

My wife took many photos at the show, but she does it for the SOS management and many will appear in the newsletter and show program, so I can't post them here. The show was good for me in that I FINALLY got a 1939 Reichssieger Badge I had been looking for to complete my set. Sales were a little off for me, but the weather had a lot to do with this as many left Saturday afternoon and there were not as many Europeans as usual. maybe the Russians were afraid to be out of the country???

Ron, As far as I am concerned, if it were not for the European buyers, we probably would not have sold much at all. I believe the dealers have to get with the program, the "glory years " are over. No one is paying crazy prices for common daggers, medals, helmet ,etc. I almost always sell out , because iam willing to drop my prices, if you do not drop your price, you will not sell anything or very little. Thanks, Bob

your right Bob.. I kinda feel bad for the guys buying when a particular item is popular. [careful, rant coming] - Like when soldbuchs were really selling for crazy prices around 2003/2003, sadly double for what a common one sells for now! , Same a few years ago during the assault badge craze. Guys buying common [in great shape] GAB for 200.! Or even worse the Russian Front medal had a little resurgence in popularity a few years ago and new collectors were wwaaaayyy over paying for them!
It's disheartening. Now maybe there is no interest in collecting anymore for them so they decide to sell out at the SOS/MAX. And, sadly they find out they have to take a beating if they want to sell it all. Many won't lower their prices. *Same for dealers,,they invested in stock in these over priced pieces and they're not going to lower,,they aren't going to 'take a beating' themselves.. - We all go to the shows and we see these [sometimes] very high prices with dealers not willing to give any wiggle room..Some complain collectors aren't buying. Real problem is,,no one is buying because they won't pay these overinflated prices of yesteryear.. [Oh yeah,,more photos! ;)] SOS, MAX. For the last few years the SOS was THE show. Now from what I'm hearing/seeing they are leveling out to be about the same.. You guys agree??
