Introduced at the 1924 Olympics, the Walther Sport-Pistole joined the Walther product line as the Modelle 1925. With a 7.4" barrel in .22 long rifle, internal hammer, one piece thumb-rest grip, and 12 shot mag, it was also used in the 1928 Olympics. Sometimes erroneously referred to as an "Olympia", contemporary literature clearly describe it as the Walther Sport-Pistole. The "Olympia-Pistole" name appeared on the slide of the Modelle 1932 and 1936 Sport-Pistols. These pistols were a new design based on the PP/PPK internal lockwork. For quick identification of the Olympias, the M1932 had an exposed hammer while the M1936 returned to the internal hammer configuration.

Thanks. This is my second one. The first one I picked up years ago for $25. No mag, busted grips, and a bulge in the barrel. Not really knowing anything about it, I had the barrel turned and lined, found a working mag, and made a new one piece grip. It's still one of my favorite plinking pistols. This one cost a bit more wink
