My name is Jean , and it is the first time I put a message in this category.
I have in my collection one Luft (C.T.D producer)and one police buckles (JMD producer). These 2 buckles are put at the right of the pictures are smaller when compared to other buckles .
Is this difference of size normal if producers are different ? Are these 2 buckles original ??
I can send more detailled pictures of my 2 buckles if needed .
Thnak you very much for your help .
jean.

Hi Jean. The size on these is sure odd, remember these were made to accommodate a std 40mm belt. If the belt does not fit do not buy these. Some of the best fakes made on badges and buckles are cast from originals. They are very slightly smaller than the originals due to material shrinkage however perfectly show the maker marks etc. Where they always fall down is with the hardware. I know everyone wants mint but 99.9% of originals were worn. Look for wear on the catch on the inside edges where the leather contacted the sides. and on the high areas of the buckle. Those are all good indicators of originality.
I checked the luft against a known original and it looks good I do not have a Police by that same maker. My gut is these are fine but the true test is when they are in hand. If you are not comfortable return them. Hope that helps some.
Good luck with them.
