WALTER SCHOTT did indeed make WWI U-boat badges.
Other collectors please give your input.
Normally you see the maker name with the double T but the T upright missing on the left hand T. Beyond that my knowledge of SCHOTT badges is lacking.

Schott designed and produced this type badge but not the one shown. The mark and reverse is not correct for a Schott badge.

Schott designed and produced this type badge but not the one shown. The mark and reverse is not correct for a Schott badge. I suspected this badge was bad the seller on this badge is on Ebay. He has a lot of other hard to find Imperial badges for sale that are suspect. I checked out the U-Boat badge on Germanwarbooty and their is a big difference. Anyhow thanks for the input. http://www.ebay.com/itm/270982267186?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649#ht_57wt_733
