Gentleman,
I need a quick turnaround on this one. I have a friend in New York that is wondering if this is a good show to sell military. He is selling some of his late father's collection. Is this a good venue for military?
Many thanks
Rick

I mentioned this to him but he has a lot of high end pieces. He does not know much about militaria so he prefers the personal touch.
Thanks

He has high end pieces but does not know much about militaria? How would he know?

And, he prefers the personal touch? What would that mean?

Good question Dave.
His father was a long time and accomplished collector. He documented in great detail every item he had including description, references and price range based on dealers catalogs at the time. These dealers in the case of daggers, were the Tom's. We should all do the same for our family. His father passed suddenly from a heart attack. All of these funds go to his aging mother's welfare, not his.
Personal touch, it means someone he trusts. His father explicitly told him to not sell to dealers. Go figure. Anyway, he told me his father was also a member of this forum.

If he could go to the SOS at the end of next month, besides myself , there will be other individual collectors who would pay him more than a dealer.

Agree. He could join me at my tables. I offered. He doesn't or can't make the show. I also suggested the Max
