And what period was the ring ?
I think its was 1936-1945 is it correct ?

It is the sign of the spanish foreign legion. Sure period LC-rings that have this coat of arms are known.

Of course, this coat of arms is still existing in our times - as the unit (spanish legion) still is in action too.

Yes Odal, I know that symbol still in use, I ask about TYPE of ring: anybody met it type in modern made rings ?

the emblem is still in current use.. That ring,,the way it is made and finished,,I would say a good guess is that it is WW2 period...

on the Russian site had an argument about my ring: some believe that it is impossible without evidence relate to the period of this ring ww2.
So I'd like to hear opinions on what grounds (criteria) can be judged that the ring period ww2, but not a new made (modern)...
Maybe we just believe (without any arguments) that such rings were issued only in ww2 ???

I would say:
Like all handworks you can see in which way its done, you can sometimes say to which time such work was usual. But i think its nearly impossible to say to which time the work was done.
Otherwise there are sure period rings in this way made.
All in all, i collect usually no handmade rings.

E. , there is no accurate way to date the ring...Sure, it looks just like the period rings made like that of the time..
Remember, anything can be faked and those that don't like it never will.
My opinion,,if someone gave it to me I'd keep it,,it really looks like those of the period..
