A friend of mine has inherited her fathers award documents and the wehrpass - what is the best way of preserving it

thanks for your reply Joe - I am totally unfamiliar with keeping documents as I m a dagger man , but as said it s for a friend who received the awards from her father - could you please what archival quality document protectors are and how to apply

I'm not qualified to give more than a general reply to your question.
Archival quality protectors come as boxes, folders, page protectors, photo albums, etc. They are made to protect the stored materials from deterioration or further degradation from chemicals and acids and light.

There are many outlets for obtaining them. If someone has a favorite they should post it.
Till someone does just type - archival quality document protectors - into a search engine and results should be abundant.

you want to look for MYLAR storage type bag/envelope,,and acid free backing board which you would change every few years..
Of course keep away from water / humid areas..
