Hi all is there a list of rarity as far as 2nd patterned Lufts are concerned I have a few and just bought a horster not one I have seen before.can anyone help ,also a big thank you to Paul and john who have helped me out with my modest navy collection and Gary s who cast his eye over my shooting forrestry and hunting items great days with all.looking forward to cassel Dippy

While you guys were busy finding rarities in Monroeville, I was hoisting a few with Paul and Diplo in a pub around the corner from the British War Museum. I had e mailed with both before, but this was our first face to face meeting...and a fun one it was.
As to your question, Dippy, I know of no definitive rarity list for Luft2s. Any such list would be very subjective, IMHO.
There are a couple of makers that produced many daggers, Weyersberg, SMF and Eickhorn. SMF only used one maker mark during all of their production, while Eickhorn used three. TM rarity should take that into account.
Horster, while not the most common maker, is easily found on Luft2s. That being said, I have seen several versions of their mark...please post yours to see if you have the common H mark or one of the scarce variations.
