Need closer photos, but the blade could be laser etched, and the cross guards look like recast reproductions, so I'd be careful on this one.

There are other opinions? I'm with John. Grip doesn't match the crossguards.Don't like the guards,grip... Hard to judge without other pics.

Exactly. Real early crossguards don't break in two like that. Someone tried to bent the crossguard to make it fit the blade radius. When ever I see guys take stuff apart like that it makes me NOT wanna buy it. This crossguard is not the one this blade came with. I guarantee 100%.  Nothing more you need to know on this one.

Agree.
Guards are aged modern repros IMO. Look at the casting flaws. Eagle looks like one of the pewter ones.
I would not be surprised to find that a hands on inspection proves the whole thing to be modern.
