- they are pretty rare.
I have seen and handled examples of:
WW1, 2 types of WW2, and a 57.

I was sent these photos a while ago,,now the auction over..
I really think this is either a fake OR a period custom job using a Stic pin device... From my interviews I learned that yes a period jeweler would use whatever he could to do a job for a customer including using a stic pin device. WE as collectors though rarely are interested in these type pieces... This one,,if the price was very reasonable [read cheap! ;)] I'd probably take a chance on...The band looks old, the device looks authentic:
