Yep I did! I am going to just leave it as be, as with my bad luck something will happen to it applying the liner or something lol

LOL! Kyle, applying a liner to a helmet is so simple my friend that even a fireman can do it (sorry, I'm with the thin blue line so I have to make fun of my FD colleagues! LOL).
However I respect your choice by leaving the lid how it is. It's a very nice piece.
The maker mark and batch # correspond to the one in the reference book: CKL66 2779 is a SD Luftwaffe M42 with a Zinc liner and sheepskin leather.

Thanks for the info on the liner! And lol even if they can do it I would break the repro liner and have to buy a new one
