Oh!
I think here it is getting very difficult.
In german coats of arms (cities/counties) you can see a lot of standing lions and some similar black ones on yellow too.
But not exact such lion. For me it looks a little strange with this only 2 claws at its paws.
I will keep my eyes open.
The ring ist real nice looking.
Some background knowledge about it?

not Gal.,,they were bule and gold.. You got to check about the colors,,that might help ID it.. Could be regional as Odal suggests or a small group... Looks ground dug,,from where? any band markings?

Flemish with artistic license? The lion is a different style than I have seen on Flemish wappen. Have seen some representations with out a red tongue and claws but they were represented in black. This one has no tongue.
So - probably something else.
