Paul,

Primo specimens! The combination of antler, ivory, boar, deer and exquisite hunting scenery on the blade conjures up ones most basic instincts for survival and love of the great outdoors. What more could you ask for in a finely crafted piece! Thanks for showing them and good pictures as well. Regards

Here's something I picked up at the last SOS, nice simple WKC pattern from the weimar period.

I tend to like the pieces with unusual etch patterns

I really like the reverse etch, especially the woodland creature, I believe he's called a satyr.

Gary:

If that is a 'simple' pattern, then I wonder what a 'complex' pattern in your amazing collection would look like!

Paul & Gary,

Talk about Blanke Waffen ... very, very clean!

Simply a joy to look at beautiful weapons like these! Wink Little wonder this is such a fantastic, diverse hobby.

Hope you'll both continue to have a great collecting year - you just can't go wrong with top-notch daggers like these ... Smile

Best!

Bill
