Based on those two pictures I would think it an original.

I am with Gary on this one but there would be a lot more, detailed pics be necessary to be able to do a more final statement. I know that the scabbard hanger-loops sometimes are not closing soldered on originals but up to now I have not seen SUCH open hanger-loops. Perhaps damaged during wear but better pics would be necessary. Regards,

For RAD leader hewers PACK is a very rare and desirable manufacturer. What I can see, the makermark conforms to that within my personal files. Overall the hewer does look nice and original and details match with known originals. The only thing I am not used to are, as said, the relatively wide open scabbard hanger-loops. Also as said this could come from wearing, who knows. Regards,
