Has anyone noticed more stuff being sold by vets children lately? I purchased this from a vets family today, and I have to say they were very happy with the deal, but there is a horror story that came with it, the vets widow not to long ago got drawn in on one of those natial buys that go around the country and set up shop at a local hotel and promise to pay good money for stuff, well they offered her $50.00 for a single decal luft helmet, here son in law said no to the sale but she wanted it out of the house and took the offer, the blades you see here in the picture they offered her $55.00 for all three, the son in law said no and was able to keep them and sold them for her. My thing is why do these people rip vets or families off like this, I always pay a fair price for stuff and not really under do it. I was fortunate enough to get this from them and they new the value of it pretty good but we were fair with each other so it worked out for both involved. Sorry for the rammbling, just dishartining hearing stories like that, gives us all a bad name. But anyhow, nice little group, puma trench knife, gustof spitzer dress bayo, WW1 Erfurt sawback dated 06 and unit marked, PJ Ohare sight micrometer, long service medal, stenogrpher pin and a 37MM practice round in the original tube. Stuff is still out there guys.

Nice score Fritz!
I am always amazed at the horror stories we hear as well from the 'fly by night' buyers. Some of the local antique dealers are no better, but I can at least blame theirs on at least partial ignorance. Everyone loves to get a deal, but there is a line between a deal and outright fraud.
