Picked these up from the vets son today. When I talked with him over the phone he said the helmet had been sitting on a shelf for years and was covered with dust.When I actually saw it he wasn't kidding.
Never argue with an idiot, he will only drag you down to his level and beat you with experience. And remember the early bird gets the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese.

Paul...All the brown that looks like rust is dust. The helmet was covered (wiped part off with my hand before I took the photo). The liner is mint and has 90 percent of the rough luft blue paint on it. The decal is just so so. The belt and buckle set has three ammo pouches on it. Got those two pieces and a state service flag and a army canteen from the guy.

Very nice! When I first saw the helmet I thought it was rust and not dust until I read. Never saw that much dust on something! I wanna see the flag too!
