My first attempt at posting photos of some of my collection. I hope to get as good at this as you veterans, particularly Tom who sets a very high bar for photo quality and posts. Thanks to you all for your patience. Been a bit of an effort. We'll see how good or bad it works.

Strat, Beautiful dagger sir! Just like playing good, clean guitar music, the photography will get better with time and practice. Great job on your first attempt ... Best! Bill

Thanks Gentlemen. Danny, this is one of the pieces I mentioned in my PM. Bill, this piece resides in the wonderful case you crafted for me. Tom, still working on exposure. Light as you taught me, is everything.
This dagger was given to Vice Admiral Voss by the Princess of Oldenberg, Sophie Charlotte in well..1918. She was the daughter in law of Kaiser Wilhelm II. Her royal cypher is the one on the ivory grip. Voss later went on to assist the well being of Sophie Charlotte after Wilhelm's abdication of the throne following WW1. Voss later became the Naval attache to AH and was injured in the 1944 attempt on AH life. Voss was also one of the last present in AH's bunker in 1945. He was one of the last to leave and ultimately was captured by Russian armed forces. He was imprisoned until 1953 and then released. He settled in southern Bavaria and led a peaceful retirement. This dagger was obtained from the family. Further details are beyond the scope of the Forum. I do have a photo of him wearing this dagger in the 1930s.
This dagger is the centerpiece of my Navy collection. As many of you know, I really enjoy pieces that are also personalized. Adds another dimension to the artifact.
Thanks again for the encouragement. I am now brave enough to start posting more photos.

Thanks Gentleman. The PLM is a 1920s version. As you know PLMs were made well into the late 1930s. Regards Rick
