Can you post a close up of the diamond?
Does it move?

IMO, post war. The lightly etched maker mark, in a style not seen with mottoed HJs,plus the look of the plastic grips, and the flat cut rivets. Let's see what Hermann sez.

I have never seen this Alcoso TM before on HJ.
And also I don't like the blade shape and the grip.
The diamond looks also suspicious.

Hello Kirillus,

I would not recomment to buy this one: I see nothing but red flags:

- Pommel is too flat

- Fingerguard is short & thin: not seen on mottoed HJ knifes

- This type of grip plate is also not correct for mottoed (1938 at the latest produced) HJ knifes.

- Though this is a very common maker for Wehrmacht daggers (Heer, Luftwaffe and Kriegsmarine) Alcoso did not make any HJ-knifes (nor any other political daggers I believe...)

- And as said already , this particular mark looks very poorly applied and its positioning is not correct.

Best regards,

Herman

I'm sorry, but with the "Blut und Ehre"! motto along with a poorly etched (IMO) late style Coppel TM/logo - I think that this knife is a "screamer". All the way out the door, as fast as my legs would take me. shocked FP

I believe you're correct in Alcoso not making HJs.
But they sure made some nice diplomat daggers!! smile

Jerry
