It appears to be an authentic dagger in a nickel-silver fitted "Type II" scabbard. M36 daggers are thought to have come from the factory with no maker mark, but it is not unusual to find a marked dagger in a "chained" scabbard. Dagger owners who qualified to wear the scabbard simply kept their original daggers and purchased the scabbard separately. The scabbard on this one might have benn painted/repainted, but it's hard to tell.

Sorry! Correction: both scabbard fittings on the sides are magnetic, medium (with runes) - not. Is it ok?? Chain also magnetic except connectors between mains..
