Always a joy to add a new piece to the collection. The crossbow, schutzen banner and Imperial banner are some of my latest. The schutzen banner is dated 1931 and from Beilngries. The crossbow is a small game hunting and sporting bow, and i believe probably belonged to a lady due to the size. Dated somewhere between 1680 and 1720. The Imperial banner is new to the family and just hung this past Friday. Hope the pictures turn out ok and hope you enjoy. James

James, Some great additions to your Rustkammer, two nice flags and a fantastic early crossbow. It doesn't get much better than that, congratulations! The imperial hunting flag looks especially fine, is it silkscreen/printed? The gold color of the insignia looks rich, very opaque and has excellent detail. Whats the size of that unit? If you get a chance could you post a snap of the other side of the shooting club banner? Thanks for sharing, best regards! Bill

Thanks Bill. The Imperial banner size is 72 X 30" and the emblem appears to be hand painted and is on both sides of the banner. The painted portion is raised and very well done. It also has the original wood rod. I think i have a picture somewhere of the backside of the schutzen banner and will send when i find. It is hanging up high in the man cave hallway, so must find the existing picture. Thanks again for your kind comments and sorry for the sideways pictures. I could not preview after loading and did not realize they were not up and down. Lesson learned. James

Bill, These three closer pictures of the paint helps show the details better. James

Some very nice additions to your collection, I do wish I had the room to display these type of artifacts but with me living in a large rabbit hutch, there's no chance. I suppose I will have to stick to the smaller pieces. Thanks for showing such nice items.

James,
Fantastic items! A crossbow is something I've always wanted to add to my own collection. Thanks for showing them.
