Could someone help me ID this collar tab? I checked the link insignia- NSDAP, there is a similar one listed OberBefehlsLeiter however there is only 2 oak leaves and 1 bar at the bottom of the tab.
Have not seen a shield like that either, any help would be great. I picked up a few patches this week at an estate sale here in NY, paid $75 for the lot.

In the "Insignia -NSDAP" Gallery, look 6 tabs further down wink It's shown as a 4th Regulation tab - 1938-1945, and it's an embroidered tab, uncommon for lower ranks.

Vern is right its the 4th pattern PL TAB not 3rd as I noted - as for the shield its for the "Latvian volunteers" and its handsewn.

I went to the NSDAP Gallery, found what I think is the closest match. The piping is the same color but there are 4 oak leaves and mine only has 2 oak leaves. Not sure if that is significant or not but they are slightly different.
Wittman has something similar I found on his site, again slightly different but close.

Any ideas on value considering condition?

Take another look at the "Insignia - NSDAP" guide, the number of leaves and bars determine the rank. Any of the tabs can be hand embroidered or made up with metal eagles, leaves and bars. Four leaves/one bar is for an "OberBefehlsLeiter", three leaves/one bar is for an "OberDienstLeiter", and two leaves/one bar is for an "Oberbereichsleiter". Higher ranks are more commonly embroidered but can be made of metal insignia. Lower ranks are more commonly seen made up of metal insignia but can be embroidered. Being embroidered or made up with metal insignia has no relation to the actual rank of the tab.
