Hello all,
I got this in a about a month ago. I would have posted pics. earlier but I was having trouble re-sizing the pics. from my new camera.
I hope these came out OK.
The blade is MINT (although I did not get particularly great pics. of it).
The grip is 100% unchipped glass with red "flecks" throughout.
You don't see this maker on Heer daggers...practically EVER!

Thanks to JR for the image re-sezing program!
Thanks to Gary for the portapee!

Enjoy:

Beautiful doggie! Smile
Love the "frozen orange juice" grip.
Are they aluminum fittings?

Thank you all for your kind comments.
I knew of this dagger 7 years ago and have been politely reminding its former owner that I would like to purchase it for 7 years as well.
Needless to say, I have been waiting a long time for this one.
I have to give the former owner credit, he gave me the 1st shot at the dagger, just as promised. It is SO nice to deal with people of integrity.
I think I can stop buying Heer daggers for a while now, for condition, rarity, and desirability, I think it will be a LONG time before I find anything to top this piece.
I waited a LONG time. Roll Eyes
I paid WAY more than I care to think about. Red Face
I got to deal with some GREAT people along the way. Wink
In the end, I got what I was waiting for. Cool
And I still feel lucky! Big Grin

That's that the hobby is all about!
Good hunting,
Johnny

Sorry, almost forgot:

Walter: No, not alumnum. Silver plated later generic fittings.

Pat: Thank you! If you say it is nice, then I really know I SCORED! Big Grin Sorry that I missed you at the SOS this year. I hope to see you at the MAX!

Johnny fantastic dagger –rare maker-beautiful grip –top shelf piece. I personally would rather have that grip then ivory. You know they say good things come to those that wait ? Isn’t it a pleasure dealing with people with integrity it really makes the hobby fun- I recently have gotten bit by the Waffenrock bug and have had my faith renewed in the hobby I have met some great uniform collectors who have bent over backwards to help me to them I am grateful. The price you paid will fade with time –when you look at the dagger you will only remember how lucky you were to get it-Now you need that early PS I have to go with it.

That is an amazing dagger. Heck of a rare maker, beautiful condition and one of the best grips of that type I've ever seen. Just fantastic.
Sure puts my WMW to shame! (Hope you don't mind me sharing.)

Oh, and where in Indiana are you, Johnny? I'm over on the Indiana side of the buckeye state now. Wink

Best,
Tyrel

I am with Tom, fantastic grips on both daggers and so rare to find them un-chipped, I would happily settle for that Weyersburg, although the dog is a real find!.
The forum picture compression really does not do them justice, great daggers.
