I have been given a couple of police bayonets and cannot find a good reference book to research what I have. Any recommendations ? Also located a Bahnschultz marked bayonet and cannot find any references on this one.

Post a pic or email me what you have, I'm happy to steer you in the right direction. As far as references for dress bayonets there isn't a lot out there. Happy to help if I can.
The two suggestions I have would be George Wheeler's "Seitengewehr" which has a nice chapter on Polizei bayonets & Rom Weinand & Gary Walker's "Clamshells & other German Bayonets" which while dated ('86 or '89), still has a lot of good reference info on Polizei bayonets.

Yep....a comprehensive reference book for Police Bayonets is definitely needed. Been thinking about it...

George's Seitengewher is a good one I use it a lot for police bayonets he has a lot on them. timothy
