Union carpenter here, been on many heavy duty construction projects, probably none as hair raising as a skyscraper.
Most dangerous things I do are probably industrial scaffolding and form work on bridges, this type of work isn't for everyone, but those who do it on a regular basis truly enjoy it - Not to mention you make some big $$ on jobs like that.
Congrats to your sons on a job well done.

People would say to me "you guys make a lot of money" my answer "yes for every hour we work if I don't work I don't get paid" n most wouldn't work in construction smile

Have to agree - the money may sound great, but not everyone would want to do this kind of stuff for a living . . .

I worked on the original Trade Center and now my sons are following.A lot of Martin footprints;
Ed Sr. my father
Ed Jr. me
Ed (Buddy) my son
Joe my son
All members of Ornamental Ironworkers Local 580 (sounds like I'm proud of what we do grin)
