I think the best way to buy stuff is just because you like it, it doesn't have to be anything special but for me it has to have condition. Picked this piece up this morning, it was one of those "had to have it pieces". An early war time Alcoso with the all black scabbard that they bought in, not all Alcoso's used in house fittings. What is unusual on this piece is the amount of gilt left in the swastika's, I think a trait not often seen on Alcoso's, I've seen where they have blackened over the years but this is a first to me in this condition, I looked long and hard at the gilt before I was sure it was original.
The bonus was the deluxe straps in just as good as the condition of the dagger, looking at the overall patina of this piece I think they are original to the piece.
