To my friends of GD, I still read here often but it's usually on my phone when I'm out and about. There are quite a number of you that I keep in touch with, but it's been a while since I have. I still owe you all that do keep in touch and I haven't had a chance to get back with, please bear with me, but the ones who know me know who I'm talk to. Everyone here are collectors like myself. Sorry I've been out of the loop.

Steve,
No apology necessary, you're not the only one who's been out of the loop for some time. I'd add myself in that category in a big way. Hope all is well with you, my friend.

When I travel, I always have the problem with properly responding. First of all, it is hard to see details on my Crackberry, second, I do not have access to my picture files.
No probs, though.

Thanks guys, I'm glad you understand. There are things I would love to add about the rare TM's, sometimes life gets in the way. I think Terry has a few pics on file of what I've sent that I think the both of you guys have seen. There are so many friends here that I try to keep in touch with and just don't have a chance most of the time. I put up a display case thread a year or so ago that I still haven't finished yet, but I will add to it. It's starting to get nice outside again so I can work on it again.
How about if I hold you over with a good piece of Luger porn ( Dave don't give me a hard time about my words on this one ). You just have to love a killer 1939 S/42 Police, a bit hard to find. This is about 97-98%. It's one of my favorite pistols. But I still have a soft spot for my Walthers.

OK guys, one last Walther. It's RJ marked. I've never posted it here or anywhere else.
My regards to all of you, Steve.

Oh... lighten up John. Porn is porn. I like these pistols Steve.
To connect the pistols and the bayonets... here is a photo of both the Justiz bayonet and pistol in wear from an RJ shooting manual.

Wow George,
I would think pictures of the Justiz seitengewehr would be as rare as the item itself.

Yes Sir, Billy. You can't get much better provinance than a picture of the Justiz KS98 in wear shown in their own manual. Here is another interesting tidbit from this manual. Notice that the Justiz shooter is shooting the "RJ" marked Walther PP that is shown above by Steve. However, also notice that he is wearing another P.08 pistol on his belt. Where are the "RJ" marked Lugers?

Great pictures & a good question about the Lugers. Now if I could only find a Justiz bayonet.

Thanks guys.
George that info was really neat to see. I've got a Justiz bayonet that I'm still on the fence about. As rare as they are, you really don't get to see one in hand very often, or at all. This one's by a known maker, WKC, early magnetic nickel plate, and a once blued scabard, short model. What is odd, someone took the time to hand checker it lightly to resemble the standard KS98, if somebody re-gripped it with wood they did a nice job. This one is the closest I've come so far to owning one. This is open for an opinion, you can't hurt my feelings any, I got some good news two weeks ago. My late war Paratrooper helmet is 100% legit. Regards, Steve.

Since we were all talking about gun porn earlier, this one's for George and Denny. I know they both enjoy these little Walthers. I'm almost finding myself liking them more than the Lugers. Many variations on these, and a number of them you can put with bayonets. Here's my RFV with both. I just need a DRP to go with my bayo. And I need a legit SS dress bayonet to go with my SS PP. That's what makes this hobby fun. It's always a search.

Steve,
Here is a similar short private purchase KS98 bayonet with smooth wooden grips with no maker. The grips are perfectly fit so that one cannot put a sheet of paper between them and the hilt. The rivets are also factory set with no "plume" on the rear of the grips from hammering in place. I believe this one to be a correct private purchase Justiz bayonet. I see a red flag with the fitting of your grips and rivets (particularly the back of the rivets) I am afraid.
Having said this here is a "police" style long polished steel KS98 bayonet made in the same oversize style at your perfectly legitimate RFV bayonet. I believe these to be issue bayonets to various law enforcement agencies and this one seems to be property marked to the Strafvollzugsdienst on the blade. While this one has checkered hard rubber grips similar your RFV, I believe this one to be a correct issue Prison bayonet.

George you never cease to amaze me with what you have in your collection. I kind of pick things up here and there. Too many hobbies I guess. One day I would like to see your Justiz bayo in hand. A collector in the UK sent me a pic of his, that one looked legit as well. I may post it, but the only recognition I can give him is by the screen name I know him by. If memory serves, I believe it to be the longer type with no TM.
By the way, I liked the unit marked you posted. I have a few of those as well. I try to buy only odd pieces and not common. All of you that collect bayonets, wheather it's my area or not, I really enjoy seeing them.
The one I posted was bought online and presented as a chrome bayonet. For $40 or $50 I saw it as a wall hanger. When I received it I noticed the wood grips.
Steve.
